The U.S. Economic Development Association, in partnership with the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), is working with the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) to provide assistance to communities impacted by Hurricane Harvey through a network of volunteers with experience and expertise in economic development.

The IEDC is the world’s largest membership organization serving the economic development profession. Since Hurricane Katrina, IEDC has been working in disaster-impacted communities and has developed expertise in economic resiliency and disaster economic recovery.

Economic Recovery Assistance volunteers are IEDC members in senior-level and executive economic development positions. Many have hands-on experience with disaster economic recovery and have provided advisory services to other communities.
